My background is in Engineering Product Design, but much of what I do sits somewhere between engineering, art, design and technology. Earlier in my career, I led the Mechatronics Lab at the Royal College of Art, working alongside artists and designers and helping students turn ideas into physical, working things using electronics, CNC machines, 3D printers and whatever else was needed. It taught me that technology and making are not separate from the creative process - they are part of it.

For more than fifteen years, I've been creating interactive and immersive experiences that bring together software, hardware, sensors, real-time graphics and physical spaces. My work has been experienced at places including Outernet London, the V&A, Science Museum, National Army Museum and Tower of London, as well as through a wide range of interactive installations and public experiences.

I'm particularly interested in what happens when technology responds to people and the world around them. I like building systems that feel less like interfaces and more like environments - things that react to movement, presence, touch or behaviour and create something that could not exist without the interaction.

Nature is another recurring influence in my work. Patterns, movement, growth and organic behaviour provide a starting point for exploring how simple rules and systems can produce something complex and unexpected.

At the heart of it, I enjoy figuring out how an idea can become something real - whether that means designing the interaction, building the technology behind it, or finding a simple solution to a difficult problem.
