For the Ford Fiesta's 40th anniversary, a YuMi collaborative robot performed alongside DJ Yoda, translating live music into precisely programmed robotic movements to mix and scratch a set spanning four decades. The system combined robotics, motion control and music programming to create a highly visible brand activation, using emerging technology as a direct demonstration of the Fiesta’s tech-forward positioning.
Project Technical Lead, working closely with DJ Yoda, ABB engineers, programmers and production managers to deliver the experience. Designed and manufactured a custom robotic end effector - a "finger" - using SolidWorks CAD, 3D printing and material casting techniques. Interviewed by Discovery Science Channel for the series Outrageous Acts of Science.
